What is Talk Therapy?

At its core, talk therapy involves the client speaking with a certified mental health professional in a safe, non-judgmental space. Everything clients talk about with their therapist during this individual counseling is confidential, and they are encouraged to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In doing so, the goal is to identify the root causes of a mental health condition. This may vary from person to person, as some issues may be more complex than others.
